Description
"My suit better be in here!" Santa exclaimed. "I'm running out of places to look. But....!" he groans. "It's NOT! Mama Claus,...where did you store my suit last year after the festivities were over?"
Mama Claus sits there knitting. She glances up over the tops of her bi-focals. "You're wearing my favorite suit. What's wrong with it?"
Santa groans. "That's not helpful!"
Mama Claus smiles and returns to her knitting. "It's on the bed," she says after a moment. "Right where I laid it out this morning. Same as I do EVERY year."
Santa hangs his head and slumps his shoulders. "And I forgot!"
"The same as you do every year," she completes his thought.
They both laugh. And then she says, "Now you better hurry. You're already running late. Oh! And one more thing, you old fool. When you walk by my chair,...walk slowly.
