What has she been through? Why is she so desperate for comfort of any kind? And why is everyone leaving instead of helping her?

This is a redux of an artwork concept I first created back in 2009 during a very deep depression episode. I’ve recreated it several times since then including the last time in 2018. I was never completely satisfied with any of those revisions. This time, I’m finally satisfied with this version. I don’t necessarily feel like I did when I created this. The feelings behind it have changed in interesting ways. I guess it is true, art is best left to be interpreted by the viewer. How does it make you feel? What do you think she is feeling?

I know well what she's feeling - been there done that a lot over the last 2 - 3 years, myself. Our FNP has me on a little pink pill called Paroxetine once a day. Maybe it's helping - I don't really know. Seeing my friends' artwork, and reading their comments on mine seems to work better. So I can relate to her, and you.
