Description

I invited one of the older meshes in my library to come and pose in my studio... Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.2.518 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine with a rendering time of 15 minutes and 59 seconds at 4000 x 3000 pixels. Some post work was performed in Superfly to reduce noise. Additional post work in Photoshop to add vignette and sharpness. The mesh is Scarlet by Sixus1 Media; never really caught on despite the fact that she bends very nicely. She is wearing a V4 dress that was set up in the fitting room and a pair of impractical shoes that S1M provided. The hair is called "Ruucky" and seems not to be available anymore. =( A note on the dress technique: I set up the fitting room so that the lowest part on the dress is the hip (that is, no thigh bones or lower). All the other bones of the upper body are used to create the newly fitted garment. I conform the new dress to Scarlet and then after posing the character in frame 30 of the animation bar I go back to frame 1 and enter the cloth room to clothify the hip of the dress and run the simulation. As an aside, I've had a lot in real life occupying me so I've not had the energy to resume any of my stories. Fussing with images like this is a bit less demanding. ;-) I expect that I'll be doing a page in the "Odyssey of Vladlena B" soon. =)

nice tricky mirror work. i have trouble doing mirrors in poser with the bg showing up in them with the gray.

Thanks! I've had the same problem and I solved it by using the "infinite background" from AO's "Level Up!" product and then duplicating it using the "duplicate command" under the edit menu then rotating the duplicate that results 180 degrees so that it will show up in the mirror. I am supposing you could play that trick with any number of props including the ground that comes with the newer versions of Poser (I know it is in P11; before that, not sure). Just add a texture to the ground, duplicate and rotate it. =)

Merci Roger! J'apprécie toujours les miroirs et j'ai réalisé de nombreuses photos avec cet accessoire particulier.

Really nicely done, Molly! Very cool trick with the mirrors - that can always be a hair-puller! LOL

Oh, trust me... I know what you mean about life getting in the way of creating / continuing / resuming a story. Sometimes life has you going so many directions at once, it's hard to focus; especially on the writing part. Been there done that...

Thanks, Rod. Reflections can be your friend or your mortal enemy in getting a convincing picture. I love mirrors and reflective glass in my renderings so I'm always looking for tips and eager to share what I learn.

As for real life intruding on digital life, I am sure you could share a lot after keeping your TNA girls running for so long. Thanks for the encouragement and commiseration, my dear! =)

Never really used the Scarlet figure but I love what you did here. I get a sense of joy and freedom in her pose. Never thought about what you did with infinite background to get the right look in the mirror reflection.

It's not a perfect figure, to be sure, but Scarlet has a nice look and bends REALLY well; just look at the elbow, knee and hip where there is bending. =) Often I have to do a bit of post work to get Victoria to look right at those joints but never with this babe. XD If you learned a little trick from teh Mollz you made her day! Thanks for the comment and kindness, Randy. <3

Lots of work to bring the old toon back but it was worth it. Been there with spinning up one-off scenes as a break from more extended pursuits and i've yet to return from that journey....never thought I'd do pinups over dramatic scenes. You will probably do better with retruning to stories as yours are worth it :)

Oh puh-leeze! Your dramatic stuff is great. XD

As far as Scarlet goes, she didn't need much to look acceptable but it was a it of work fitting that sexy dress from V4 to her. =P I'm getting really good at repurposing clothing from one figure to another. Poser has some very good tools for that.

Bottom line: thanks for your encouragement, JD. I always look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you are up to. I'm pretty far behind but hopefully will catch up a bit tomorrow. =)
