This page contains samples of some of my best artwork and various 3D models to date. Feel free to comment on anything you see here. BIO I have been an artist all my life from sculpting to painting to building ships in bottles I have had a hand in nearly everything. Several years ago I was given a glimpse at what a computer could do when an artist was at the helm. I quickly learned that the way to express myself and bring my visions to life was 3D art. I have a background in printing, graphics communication and advertising design. I became lead modeler at Faultline Studios and worked on illustrations for the card game "Crown of the Emperor". I have worked on several book covers and enjoy bringing ideas to life.
I am now lead graphics artist for RonEd Media and have continued to increase my abilities and portfolio. My goal has been to do illustrations for a sci-fi book, magazine or non-fiction titles on the paranormal. I enjoy creating various images usually sci-fi in nature that center on the darkside or human thought and technology. The many "what ifs" that fill our minds at dark hours and the need to believe in other things that give us hope in dark times. I have learned to use many programs and will likely learn many more to help in telling my stories better. The latest addition to my pallet is Vue 8 Complete and the results are amazing, expect more. I would like to thank Sci-fi channel and Sci-fi weekly for allowing me to share some of my visions with the world " My latest contribution to the 3-D world is the Cydonia model and material sets, a joint project between me and Gill Brooks. You can also find my "Shattered Worlds" sets and materials for Vue and Poser in the market place.

I have one suggestion to enhance your image, let me have a print of it for my wall........."please." Actually I have one suggestion that my wife frequently reminds me of. Since you put so much work into the foreground woman and dog, it is a shame to have them so dark so not to enjoy your efforts. Even a subtle backlight with a slight tint or gel applied would make them stand out but still not detract from the folks involved in some hurried bustle to erect a tent. Even as it is, it is still very good and ranks Excellent in my book.

This caught my eye immediately and since you're looking for feedback on an already fine piece of work, I think maybe some distant mountains on the horizon would add a greater sense of depth and scale to the image. I'd also try some tumbleweed in the left foreground or decrease the scale of the tree to make it agree a bit more. I also actually like the darkness of the foreground characters in contrast to the distant figures. A bit of smoothing on the outlines of the wolf may help reduce the poly look. Now, that being said what matters is that YOU see what you want in every image you make. Everyone else, myself included can go punt if this lives up to your expectations. I don't say this often, but this really would look great on my wall. Fine work all around :-)

Yes, I agree with andymoraitis about what YOU want to see in your image. This is a very beautiful work, with expressive ligthing and atmosphere. It's twilight, and the mood is perfect. I too would like to have some distant mountains to disrupt the flat of the ground and give more drama to the setting. And maybe show the "fabric" of the tents. __ My compliments, this is a very, very good work.

I agree with the replies above, distant mountains would enhance this already excellent piece of work just a tad more. That being said, the warm colours that light this image are perfect, and if i may be so bold.....perhaps a 'permission' to have this as a screen saver on my computer... regards Marc

Agree with andy and Dc about what you want to see in your image. I also would put some distant mountains to add depth and higlight the to in the foreground a little more. But its a cool job already.

I loved the orginal, and this is even better. I do have a couple of suggestions.. You may want to make a thumbnail that shows more detail of the image, because from the thumbnail it looks like very basic poser/bryce primitives, but up close it looks excellent w/ magnificent detail. For the picture itself i would agree with Andy in adding something in the horizon, or maybe some basic grass to hide parts of the horizon. otherwise, this is an excellent peice and i cant wait to see more from you!

I agree on maybe just a touch more light on the foreground characters, but the background scene is amazingly lit and posed. I like the story of them raising the teepee as well. I do agree some mountains in the back would probably be good but as andy said, it's up to you...
