If you have any dogs, you have to keep them away from this (or in turn, people who like to explore the bush!). They catch on fur and clothes real easy if you walk close and then you REALLY notice their presence! So you are absolutely right about catching on things - they love to go for a rather (painful) ride. Got one caught on my sock once, it wasn't fun. Not only do you have to touch the prickly mess to remove it, the little needles will break off and get stuck and you have to remove them one by one. And I was lucky to just get one. :S
