Description
The robot had made the calculations. had arrived at a decision based on variable options, which there were few of.
Passing between several of the mountain sized rock formations, it now stared at the one it had chosen. Looming out of the mists, the rock resembled a small moon more than an asteroid. The shuttle was compromised within the nebula, with no chance of escape or fighting. He could not allow the vessel to fall into the hands of pirates or any others. this was merely one of the possibilities that was part of the assignments.
There was no regrets, no sorrow, or malice as the robot programmed the self-destruct to coincide with the exact moment calculated. The timing would allow for the next phase of his plan.
Everything possible was figured in for the assignment.
