Description
This picture is set about three years before my last picture. The survey team on the planet Arcadia, officially GL-638-III, has just discovered that one of the native plants produces chemicals that seem to inhibit a wide range of viruses. If those chemical can be isolated and refined, this could lead to some important new medicines. When the report gets back to Earth, Arcadia is going to be moved to the top of the list for colonization!

This new discovery will be weaponized by the military and made exclusive for the rich.

I think the drug companies would fight that pretty hard. They know they can make a lot more money selling to everybody than to just a few rich people.

Nice plant but you better be careful...if it didn't kill viruses but people...who knows ?

Hopefully, scenes like this will happen in the future. Assuming we as a species can take a break from endless wars to do something to benefit humanity for a change...
Really very well done!

Let hope further development happens in a way that humanity can benefit from such discoveries! You did a great job putting this scene together! :-)

Nature is an infinite treasure in which we can find the proper molecules to cure the nasty consequences of our industrialised and greedy world of ceaseless goods consumption. The scene you've designed here is superb and pleasant to the eye, graphically speaking and its motive is well worth the making of it. Well done !
