Description
No I have not resurrected Bianca and Ravenna for this. They are merely place-holders whilst I create some vintage characters to match the music. The street may change also. Not sure. I wanted to practise my camera work. So as this is just a WIP, there's no lighting (well there is, but nothing I've done) and there are no shadows. But it's really the camera and animation that I'm focussed on with this. Hopefully my vintage characters will be ok and perhaps a half-decent animation may come of it!

Nice. The walk cycle for the two looks the same, but the little changes in head position and their gait makes them each a stand-alone character.

Thank you so much! It's really odd because I started out as a traditional artist and the first animations I did were 2D. Then moved into 3D animations before posed 3D. I've kind of done things in a bit of an odd order. Anyway, I love Little Richard (and I like the film that this song goes with). He's got a powerful voice. I actually love all things 50's. Great work so far! Beautiful pose and animation work, their walk cycle is exceptional! I think if you just throw a shadow underneath them to ground them more then it might already be done right there :D

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm glad you like the animation. The characters and settings are place-holders so to speak. I wanted to work out the walk first. The characters will be replaced with new ones and then I'll be working on the setting, lights, shadows etc. Thank you again, your comment and input is very much appreciated 💙

Very nice Mediacandy! How long did it take you to render this scene? I've been intending to try some animation, but I'm too ambitious for my own good. It would likely take me a week to render a 15 second scene!😩

Thank you! I find the time it takes to render is faaaar less than what I spend on setting the scene up. I don't think that this took too long because I rendered it in quick mode - so no cameras, extra lighting etc. I walked away whilst it rendered but it didn't take longer than 10 - 15 minutes max; but again, I did render it in quick mode so less materials loaded. Perhaps you could do a quick render to see if you like how things play and then decide if you want to go for a full render? Animation can be very satisfying 💙
