Passing through the flaming region of the forest, she made a desperate run. Her destination was a portable travel system that would get her back to the main complex. All about her, in every direction, she could hear weapons firing, explosions rumbling like constant thunder. The thick smoke of fires had begun to spread throughout the forest. She continued to run as she had never ran before. With a speed and nimbleness that she had never experience, she traverse over and around varying obstacles before her. The experience was as exciting as it was perplexing. Her eyes focused ahead. She could see it long before she came close. Her next moves were being processed to get beyond this obstacle. She could only be punished once for breaking the rule, but she was determined to save the young ones. The price she would pay no longer mattered.
