Description

This picture was taken in the parking lot of the Big Four Mountain Ice Caves past Granit Falls Washington. He was quite vocal and I got a bunch of nice shots of him but the best was when he hopped onto the ants nest for cleaning. Birds have a symbiotic relationship with the ants who are made from the fungus amungus. Science says they are not sure what the ants are doing. It looks like and sounds like a cleaning station. I dove to an underwater cleaning station on Diego Garcia a long time ago and being swarmed by little yellow fish nibbling my body and face mask was something I will never forget. So an educated guess is a bird cleaning station, if we try that the ants bite us and that is no fun. Until science can turn a scientist into a bird send him to the nest have his body cleaned and returned science will still be in a quandary. That is why Earth is so lame waiting for science to decide something is something. It`s a cleaning station Mr. Science...Sweet
