Description
This is Nina, my first render with Victoria 3.
The hair is also my first attempt at photoshop painting following the excellent help received from the tutorials section. It really wasn't that hard. We should all have a try. It's fun.

Love the transluscency of the skin and the texturing of the lips - Wonderful

The translucency was a bit of an accident but one I will repeat. I did it by duplicatng the finished image and then using the screen blending mode. By adjusting the transarency of the upper layer you can adjust the effect. Simple but effective. In my case it omitted the hair layer as I didn't want this to be translucent.
