Percival (Blue Wizard): What's taking you so long to get ready, Kargaz? Kargaz (Red Wizard): Just waiting for Jasmine. P: Your cat? Where is she? K: Gone out - probably for a pee. P: Well, shout for her, then. K: That'd be rude, rather like banging on the toilet door and shouting 'are you finished yet?' P (sniffs): You make too much fuss about that cat. K: Not at all - I sometimes think I don't make enough - after all, they don't live as long as we do and deserve all the attention we can give them. P: And those cats in the kitchen? K: Strays, but regulars - come in for a bit of food, comfort, rest, warmth and cuddles. P: Ridiculous. But you still aren't ready to set off and the Archwizard has sent me here expressly because he wants us all to get away soon for the Conference fortnight. Every four years we have a conference and this is the fourth year and the most important of the four. K: I know that, Perce, and - P: My name, as I so often have to remind you, is Percival, not Perce. Now just why are we waiting for your cat? K: Because she is coming with us. P: You haven't taken her before. K: She wasn't born before. P: Surely she can stay here with the maid? K: So she could, but I always take her with me on special trips when I will be away; she would be unhappy without me, even though Lei Fang would look after her. P: Well, hurry up and get her. Lei Fang (Maid): Miss Jasmine is already here sir. I have prepared her travelling basket. K: Thank you. I leave you in charge and our Red Droid looking after communications and so on. P: Droid - The Archwizard would not take it kindly if we were summoned back here for nothing. K: They know that. In effect we leave this planet wizardless for a couple of weeks. The humans can't do much damage in that time. Leave an observation droid which can report any problems. P: You have more faith in them than I have! K (shrugs shoulders): The Goddess sent us here to guide and help them and steer them in the right direction. P: Including fireworks and magic tricks to amuse the children? K: Of course; especially the children. P: Hmm. Well are you ready now? K: Yes Oh, Percival, my dear fellow - you're not carrying anything - would you be so kind as to bring that cat bed - by your feet - thank you. Let's go. Lei Fang hands Jasmine, in her basket, to Kargaz. He waves to her and the Red Droid, then he and Percival fade from sight. RedDroid: Peace and quiet for a while, eh, Miss Fang!
