Sorry to hear that but I agree with a lot of it, and I am done of some of what you say, I got old and lazy. I like your work, you create wonderful characters and put a good bit of emotion into them, you will be missed.

But what I'm seeing is that you don't need AI to flood the galleries with images of your particular fantasy woman. There are a few that shall remain nameless that do this very thing right now, and AI is not involved. They are simply a flood of DAZ studio pinup images of the same person with tiny variations. They don't stretch themselves as artists at all, and then to boot they don't have the courtesy to bundle up these all-too-similar images into 1 post, they just push down other works onto page 2 by dominating the "new" gallery. We know who they are because they reveal themselves daily. You don't need AI to be rude, like a lot of technology, it just makes it more efficient.

Also, there are a few artists on the board who can make DS and Poser "look like something". I don't count myself in their number but I can still appreciate what I don't have. As for being banished and having works yanked for reasons that, purely in my opinion, are excessive, well, I think it's happened to plenty of people so if it's happened to you, then count yourself in an illustrious club.

If all else fails and you continue to despair, then, by God..... put the item on the board anyway, just out of sheer spite!

Fantastic post, after a stunning series of superb rebellion. No wonder you look so tired.
Maybe it's my nomadic ways, that I don't feel the tarnish as much but tarnish there is. There are a lot of cheap works in the galleries. I end up scrolling twice looking for gems in between knockoffs and spam posts. I'm tipping the gems now. Time to start criticizing the cheap works that want critiques or scroll on. No tip no views from me though, if doesn't catch my eye in the gallery. Comes back to respect for art at the people level. Better curation at the admin level is what it will be. My advice to you in though is, Vacations matter and otherwise, F' them, why let them run you out of town? Ps, remember when they went to 5 posts a day and people felt bad for posting that many? That's respect for art.

Amazing image, super atmosphere and effects. You have a real talent, and it shows. This is not a quick set, pose and render creation like some postings I have seen. I hope things will improve and that you will eventually be able to post some new art in the future.

Well, I think everyone here knows where I stand on this subject. I've been banned at least twice now for trying to get those at the top to wake up and SEE what is happening here. And I mean the TOP - not the Mods.

I have been on Rendo since 2009 - back when it was a REAL community. I've seen it go through ups, downs, and many changes. But nothing like the nonsense going on with all this repetitive, non-creative, daily-limit nonsense every day lately. What's the point? Just so they can see their name(s) at the top of the "Top Artists" list? What fragile egos they must have.

And how many artists have just walked away because of this nonsense? And how does that affect sales, one has to wonder. None of it makes a bit of sense. But I'd better shut the hell up.

So sorry to see you go, my friend - I do hope you'll stop by now and then just to check things out.

For myself.... I'll be damned if I'm going to let these losers have a victory that easily. I'll stick around and post my stuff just to spite them! I'm a stubborn old fart!

Hi, I can only agree here too! I won't repeat everything here that I've already written elsewhere. I've been here for a while and my biggest disappointment was learning something to get better. Artist, let's say I try hard but know very well that I don't have that certain something (I often tried to paint, but it didn't work, so I render). Even with the scenes there are often only one (or more) female characters. But that's due to my limited hardware and, above all, I've already rendered complex scenes and spent a lot of hours. Then put these scenes here and 3 comments wow (and what kind of mostly meaningless ones). It's clear that at some point you'll let it go. I have already written something about AI. In my eyes the renders are “blender” and eyes are also the key word. They look so unnatural, as if the figures have no soul. I usually recognize them at first glance, horrible. What's worst is endless likes, comments of the same kind. I often asked myself why was I wasting my precious time? However, I never get anything like that.

I pretty much agree with you about what's happened, although I find the multiple-almost-identical-image posters don't bother me as much as the ones who only do promo images. I don't come to the galleries to see advertising.

I can understand why you'd want to walk away, but I wish you wouldn't. There needs to still be some posters here who really are interested in doing art.

Wow outstanding image. Really conveys you feelings. I am nowhere as talented an artist as you are, but I spend a lot of time on each one of my images trying to make something interesting. And usually only post once a week. So I understand your frustration at the people that just post an image of the same model in 20 slightly different poses with no real background and nothing going on. Will miss seeing your art it is always amazing.

Thanks a lot..Sometimes it takes time until I post a picture. Very often I spend a lot of time and then I recognized that I am not statisfied with that scene and so I deleted it..

I agree with what you say wholeheartedly! When I joined this place it had a different name. That's how long I've been here. Most of the truly talented artists are gone. These are the ones who would post great art and also help others by taking the time and create tutorials on how they made their art. This used to be a great place to learn. Not so much anymore. I still render and I post now and then but not as much as I used to. I too am tired of the multiple postings and the AI. When it comes to art the saying is true 'A picture is worth a thousand words', you don't need to post a thousand images of the same thing!

In the end, this has become a commercial site, not a community for artists like it once was. There are plenty of hobbyists and I wish them well and I wish they learn and improve. To them I say take the time to create one image that truly says something. Challenge yourself. It takes time.

I'll keep rendering. By the end of the year I'll have some images that I truly like and then will post. It's what I have been doing the past few years.

Krid, if you need to take a break, do so but don't stop creating. This site has had it's ups and downs over the years. Perhaps one day it will be the artist gallery it was meant to be! One can only hope!

Thanks for your kind words...I want to create pictures that tell a story or that the people use their fantasy...So sometimes it takes a lot of time and somtimes I am not satisfiede with the scene only because some small thing like lightining or pose..and I started again. I do not believe that I am an "artist" but I always wanted to make my best.

So much despairing here, but some good points made. But I will offer you this: You're going to produce art. Accept it because you have no choice. It's just something that comes, it's in you and if you deny it, then that's when you will start to wither away. It's like fruit from a tree, the tree doesn't have much choice, because the fruit will come one way or another. Only when the tree is sick is when it will produce stunted fruit, and if the fruit isn't picked, that's when it will rot and fall to the ground, benefiting no one at all.

So produce it, and keep is as healthy as you can. We poor mortals, we're all so ignorant. We don't know how the things we do, even the small things, truly affect the people around us. I think if we really knew we'd be shocked and surprised. So we all might as well get on with it, for our own sake and for the sake of the place we'd prefer to live in.

And I really do not believe that I am ignorant..I take a look at the galleries and tried to found out, what is the speical of this scene...The lightning, the pov, the postwork? But now I found too many scenes that (for me) are boring...Nearly every time the same

OK then, on this image, the emotional impact of the pose and expression on his face, that's what grabbed my attention on this one. It seems to match the mood you're writing about and are likely feeling.

Take a break. Get some clean food and water and sunshine into yourself. This time of year, get an old whiskey barrel, fill it with dirt, and plant some tomatoes. If you're a beginner, that's one of the easiest to grow, and seeing 'em grow will give you a kick. Time off might help. I know that my own particular muse, she will not come when forced, so give yours a chance to find you and lead you out of the forest of twisted trees that you're in right now.

I echo the thoughts of Saby55, I had sat and thought of the artists I liked on here and wrote to you a few weeks back to thank you for the freebies you'd made way long ago. I stopped coming on here because of 'team work' geting 'likes' for art.. but it's not really art. Spent the winter looking for people I'd known, few remain. Sad thing is, the other 'art' based websites are awash with AI. I think there are reasons for this. First a lot of people seem glued to Smart Phone apps, nobody buys the traditional desktops much, hence AI. Next, in the begining there were programs that were easy and fun to use. Now they are expensive and need internet connections to function. The fun went out of using the programs about the same time Daz files stopped being compatable with Poser. So I changed direction. I decided to use the old 'stuff' as templates for new 'stuff'. I don't upload images, just poses, props and ideas and it's more fun!

That's a great image and a sad, but understandable, situation. I hope you get past it and see that what everyone else is doing has nothing to do with what you have to contribute to the art world, here or anywhere else.

But, yeah, the point camera at the woman and render is really tired.

But there's something you must remember, not everyone is an artist. Artistry requires talent and, more importantly, imagination. Loading a figure into a scene and hitting Render doesn't make a person either one. The more popular this field gets the more people who'd like to think they're artists will show up.

I wouldn't let that stop me. I hope it doesn't hold you back for too long. You've got a gift and we don't want it put away.
