Hi. My real name is Gary and I live in the state of Ohio about 20 miles due north of Cincinnati. My professional background is in mechanical engineering. I studied at the University of Cincinnati. The first half of my career was spent on the drawing board and the second half at a Unigraphics workstation.
But, I have always dabbled in art. I started using Poser when it was first introduced. And, I also started using PhotoShop with version 2.5, in the early 90's.
When I had my home based Product Design & Illustration business, I very often super imposed Victoria 2 into my product renderings just for a human size reference. Poser has really come a long, long way, since those early days. The product content at Renderosity, DAZ, Content Paradise, YURdigital and RDNA is just amazing. The vendors at these sites are incredible.
I really like working in 3D space. That's why I also have Bryce, Carrara and Rhino 3D in my toolbox, as well.
The profile picture is from my pre-UC days. I'm the one with the Rickenbacker.
Well, that's me in a nutshell. See ya!

I am on the floor! "For a good time, call....." History was never this much fun when I was a kid in school....
Damn... 21 wives, 180+ concubines.... Did this dude ever get any rest? And he lived to 90+? Man, I need to get off my butt.. 🤣
Anyway.... What a great pair of scenes here Gary! You did an amazing job on them! And what a great history lesson!

Thanks, Rod! I had to go back and edit that Roman numeral phone number. It was supposed to have been, "634-5789." It's the title of an old Wilson Pickett song which had the opening lyrics, "If you need a little lovin,' call on me . . . ." When I "Googled" it the first time, it gave me 654-5789 (?).
