Apparently, there was an alternate clandestine musketeer group that was created to provide support...
The project hit a snag when the clothes designer misinterpreted the King's wish that the outfits should be light, easy to move in and while not that important, they should be 'visually appealing' and flashy. (He thought the King said 'fleshy')
Methinks he did a wonderful job anyway ;-)
