Description
I was listening to Ravel's "Daphnis et Choloe" this afternoon, for a change of pace. Its inspired by the story written by Longus in the 2nd or 3rd century that is considered the first "pastoral romance" in literature. It tells the story of two young foundlings who are brought up by shepherds on the island of Lesvos and fall in love. They are kidnapped and separated, but after a series of adventures are reunited and married. It has inspired numerous subsequent works, both literary and musical, most famously Shakespeare’s "As You Like It".
...and any excuse for another calsssical-themed render 🙂!

Nice! She really has that wonderful classic portrait feel, especially in the close-up. I'll have to dig into my music collection - I know I have a decent selection of Ravel's works.
