In 2003 science squeaked the fact that we had living rocks. That was good for me because I had been saying that for years after being stationed on Diego Garcia for 363 days and seeing and photographing what I saw. So on August 21 2003 I went looking for some to photograph with a Nikon field scope with a macro close up lens on it. It was only a 1.3 megapixel camera so the blow ups are pixilated but I was able to easily find a living rock to bring home to photograph small stuff. In an indent in the rock half the size of a dime I took a bunch of pictures of the filament or strings the rock makes as part of it`s life cycle. Both Ebony and Ivory strings with white balls inside some that look just like the old pictures of the tunnels of Mars that we will someday be told are formed by the rock. There are two bigger dark pieces that grow you can see in this picture that I`m sure inspired a Star Trek movie. I messed up calling them Star Trek Ones or the motion picture. I meant to call them Star Trek 4`s. Double dumbass on me for the blunder. You can find these in an old book now out of print, as they grow they segment off to make new ones. I`m sure that string theory came from the study of the the living rock as we dissect what God said he was, "The Rock" and science blows smoke up the worlds kiester`s for profit.
