Description
The F4F Wildcat were build in several variants.
The main differences were the non folding wings for the F4F-3 and the Martlet III.
F4F-4, FM-1, FM-2, Martlet II and Martlet IV had folding wings.
The US and the British versions have different motors and charger, that's why the British had other cowlings.
The FM-1(Wildcat V) and FM-2(Wildcat VI) were delivered to the British without any changes
and the naming was changed from Martlet to Wildcat on the British side.
The F4F-4 and the British counterparts Martlet MK.II and MK.IV had have 3 guns in each wing,
all others had 2 guns in each wing.
The first of the Martlet II were delivert with a different Pitot tube on the left wing.
