Description
As is often the case, I set up this scene to try new products. In this one, it was poses, household gadgets, and a model to catch the eye - but most of all it was to test the environment.
'Rising Sun' is available on DAZ, and is a massive set comprising a complete ba/hotel/club and offices with a ton of very useful and workable modern and deco props that alone might be worth the price, particularly for those setting up noir or period scenes. Here the apartment is featured right out of the box except for a few added small props like the whiskey and smoking bits on the side chest, some clothing, and a few kitchen table goodies. The only altered textures were the windowframes which were switched from their blue paint to the wood texture provided for the chair rail and other bits.
Rooms include the apartment, a hallway, bar, club, private room, storage room, dressing room, and an office. The exterior is also render ready with a complete setting including the building, lot, and support structures. The dumpster is quite cool - perfect for other alley scenes.
In all, there's lots of possibilities here - from noir, to gangsters, to modern, to 'hillbily', to post apocolypse if you have a few dirt shaders to slap on surfaces. it isn't cheap, but on sale it's tremedous value. To my knowledge, it's Jellyfish's first offering. it we make it worth his effort, who knows what might ensue?

Your render is very attractive, and I will have to check out the Rising Sun. I saw it, but didn't quite know what it is from the "cover."

Thanks blu - it's worth a long look :)

This is a really superbly done scene, my friend! The atmosphere / lighting here is perfect, and really sets the mood. I like it a lot.
I've not been over to DAZ for a while... I'll have to pop over and take a look at this. I keep hoping I can get a day or two set aside to tackle this %$%^ DAZ machine that hasn't worked for what... 2 years? Gah.........
jdwtrxk
Thanks Rod - lighting and setting are all Jellyfish. Didn't even add a ghost or spotlight to accent. DAZ recently ran some pretty healthy sales that when their 'tokens' were applied often reached 91%. This was a new release and a little less off but i really wanted it :)
I've been lucky with my venerable machine but might be thinking to upgrade.

Looks pretty good John, a lot of work in there!
jdwtrxk
Thanks Ute but not as much as one might think - most of the propd come with the set. I added a few table props for the nightstand and kitchen and a rug plopped in and posed a standby pinup model and turned it loose. Lights and cameras were out of the box.
