Content Advisory!

I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Yeah I noticed the migrating vendors, not looking good for the home team. I too am thinking of not posting so much here. What is the reason? It's a mix bag because I like sharing and showing off Poser. It seems to me Renderosity is kind of dying a slow death. I don't want to see this but I see the trend. Anyway stay frosty.

LOL! Oh, don't I wish! 😆 I'd probably have a heart attack if I tried that now!
Thanks for stopping by, Steve! Always appreciate you, buddy!

Very nice chief :)

I hear ya, although personally I don't find that as bothersome as the pictures that are just promos for some market product. Save the ads for the marketplace and let the galleries be the place just to enjoy art.

There are so many of these repetitive AI images that Rendo might as well give in and provide an 'AI only' gallery, leaving the main gallery for us lot of 'non-AI' posters.

Seems like the flood gate has been opened and an avalanche of images is constantly pouring in daily...welcome to the reality of how this site exists today Rod and don't forget to remind The T.N.A. girls to fasten their life preservers to help keep them afloat upon their arrival to the great flood! lol :-)

Hi, I have already written a lot about this elsewhere and can once again confirm what was said here, unfortunately. But that's just one problem of many, it seems. A few years ago I decided to show my work in the hope of learning something. At the beginning there was a lot of popularity (after a short time). A few tips were also given here and there. I was so happy and rendered what the stuff held. Something changed, let's say about 2-3 years ago. There have been/are some crises, Corona and wars, and the environment is also slowly blowing up in our faces. All of this and much more has changed people, changed them a lot. But I also had to notice this in myself. But that shouldn't be the topic here. Renderosity has many problems. You can now forget about the shop here (I can hardly find anything anymore, so no purchase.) You hardly get any replies or rather meaningless comments for your works anymore. I also admit that I no longer know what to write about many of them :) In any case, I have often given tips on how to do things better. And that's what hurts me the most. There is hardly any exchange here and that was my primary reason for showing my render in the first place. Learn something new! So I hardly render anymore or only for myself. Phew, that was more than I wanted to write. Now to you, I think that's completely normal when you make such works for a long time. My deepest respect! But that too will be over at some point, because at some point everything will be said and maybe it will be time to move on again :)

Yeah, you're right on the money, Storm. Lots of things going into the mix. I guess we'll see what the future brings - assuming we actually have one... And Like you, I very much miss the interaction here.
I'll be sticking around at least for a while, and will continue the TNA story. I'm also going to be paying more attention to my badly neglected website. I'll also try to start posting more at some of the other sites like Art Station, D.A. Fantasy Attic, and a couple others.
I'll still post a few things here, but this is the last mention I'll make of this subject.
Thanks for your visit and comments!

A fantastic weekend to you and Jo, Sir Rod!

I've seen a fair few of them jumping ship lately. When I put my Ferrari engine up for sale, I did so on multiple sites as a way of spreading the risk, as well as reaching a wider potential client base.

Well, hopefully those Vendors are just trying to reach a wider customer base, and not leaving 'Rosity. I know if I was a Vendor, I'd have shops in as many places as possible.

Arrrgh! Posted but it was lost. No idea why. Sorry, I am with you but not well enough to type all that again, it was a long message. Maybe when I recover the full use of my right hand I'll be back to longer replies. Please keep posting though, you leaving will only make it worse here!

Dang, I hope your hand recovers quickly, my friend! Hope you feel better soon! No fun having problems with the hands..

Contrary to popular belief, ai does not stand for artificial intelligence. It stands for aggravating idiots. Know what I mean, Bruh?

She is obviously over indulging, apparently experiencing a cell phone loss and needs to focus on more meaningful things in life.
That said, I select which art to FOLLOW, and leave judging to the Rendo wheel guys, which I have been one of. I posted a LINK regarding their position on A I, as yet another art form. Being primarily a photography student, I appreciate an opportunity to see how others express, hopefully in moderation and consideration.

Hey, buddy I'm totally with you (and stormrider75) and a lot of the comments here. Me too got tied of all the crap here in the galleries, but Rendo seems not to bother. For a short moment I thought, that it will improve again, but it didn't. Those who use AI extensively just don't state "AI" anymore, but cover it under "mixed medium" (hahaha as if I wouldn't see the "hand writing" of AI in all those images). And as you wrote, you put a lot of work in your images, just to receive almost no comments at all, and your hard work is buried very quick under tons of automatic generated crap. So I lost the joy of making renders, writing short stories and posting here as well pretty much and as result of this, I'm sadly not commenting that much anymore either… (so I'm guilty of that as well). And me too read with shock, how Daz "welcomes" more and more vendors from here and I'm afraid, that they leave Rendo altogether and soon give DAZ the "quasi monopoly" on quality content. When Rendo acquired Poser, I hoped, that this place will grow to a good competition for Daz, but it seems, like with Rendo, Poser will die the same slow death too. I dunno, but this all makes me pretty sad.
However, I won't "leave" Rendo, but my visits get more and more rare here and I really miss the phantastic comunity we once where and it looks to me, like Artstation or D.A. Are not a real alternative either (D.A. is fighting for Core members like heck and it looks for me like even they have their good times long gone)…

The title of this work is interesting, I would say it fits the trend of this period.I would say I agree with you RodS, the problem is that each of us is free to express ourselves as we want and therefore we can't do anything about it. The only flaw is the amount of repetitive images they publish without making any sense.Great job RodS and sorry for my English👍🙋♂️

I will not argue with you, Rod; however, one has to realize that AI is here to stay. Thus, my advice is to simply ignore it if it bothers you so much. I do like using it on images that I created in DS: AI can lend better lighting and overall depth to an image. Also, it is fun to do and that should be a reason we do this stuff
I have been away from Rendo for nearly a year. It does seem that that there have been some changes and so many folk I had been following are no longer posting their art, etc. here. Such is life.

Hey, Barb! Good to see you hangin' out again with us.
Actually, it's more the annoyance of these daily repetitive 8-image floods than the AI itself. It is here to stay - and I confess I've played wit it a little bit. I guess we'll just have to hang in there and see what happens. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

I know how you feel, the good thing about SSDD is that as long as I am doing ok then I can't complain. She looks to being doing ok herself. Great image.
AI is gotten into everything these days and looks like it is here to stay. You can find AI in images, animation, memes and book writing just to name a few. I use AI on a daily basis when I ask Google or Alexa a question or to turn on my TV switch to Prime video etc. Other than that, I have not found a need for it.
