Description
~Puma Sisters~
From Masamune Shirow's cyberpunk manga pages came a series called "Dominion: Tank Police" (1985), featuring some of the sassiest evil minions: the AnnaPuma & UniPuma twin sisters! They are android catgirls originally designed as gynoid love dolls, but specially trained for combat. No matter how much they argue, the sisters are inseparable and sisterly to extremes, sharing one mutual thing: how much they despise the protagonist, Leona Ozaki.
They feature cat-like agility, speed, strength and endurance way superior to humans, receiving hardware upgrades that turns them into a military-grade targeting device. They work as criminal minions for the mastermind villain, Buaku. But looks can deceive - they have extraordinary skills to overcome even impossible odds. They use and abuse sexiness to their advantage, even performing an erotic striptease dance to distract the guards before an attack.
However, one detail that only shows in the manga, being omitted in the video adaptations is when the sisters are capable of ejecting large amounts of water to shrink down to children size to be able to fit into tanks to pilot them. They can later drink lots of water to grow back to normal size.
In spite of being secondary characters, you will likely remember them the most! When it comes to style, they are the personification of the 1980s with big hair and skimpy outfits.

One of my favorite old-school animes from back in the day, done up in modern detail

Yes, a 1985 classic that lead to yet another Shirow classic a decade later - "Ghost in the Shell" (1995), where even the opening credits became a cult classic! ^__^

They really look amazing! I don't think I ever saw that show, but I'd have loved these two. Awesome work on these anime hotties!

Thank you! I am not surprised, considering this manga and videos are from 39 years ago. However, it is worth mentioning that the works of Masamune Shirow are next-level kind of quality. Once you see his stories, characters, and mecha designs, you might realize ALL the imitators that came later. That's a guy who left a mark in the industry, becoming a major influence for what came later. ^___^
