excellent scene, don't know why but it makes me think of the temperance movement, think it is the dress and the 'slogan' look of the art on the walls.

Thanks a lot. I'm not very familiar with Andrea Bowers' work. I know that she is a feminist artist and a social activist who associates her exhibitions with activist people to give them better visibility. I glimpsed through her two works on recycled cardboard, a sort of strong opposition between a material perceived as poor and unusual and the representation of allegorical female figures, which also seem outside the norm in terms of what we expect from the image of the contemporary woman. I find that this is what disappoints our expectations in representation, which gives freedom to a female artist who takes charge of her image and that of her sisters. My image is only a dramaturgical escalation of this idea: women have to endure this gaze from others, between divinization and relegation among negligible parcels.
