It hunkered lower to the ground. Powerful muscles prepared to react in an instantly. Its lips curled away, as barred fang shown with a deep rumbling growl.

I had considered breeding a hyena to a doberman; the result I think would have looked much like this. Wouldn't you know, the Hyena is more cat than anything. They won't mix. blew me away. A cat? Really?
