Description

"For every decision and action," she said, "there is a consequence." I had risen to my hands and knees and eyed her warily. To my left, Dawg lay groaning and holding his wrist which bent at a crazy angle. I could see his shot gun behind her. To my right, Danny was motionless, face down. I focused on the woman who had been speaking. "What do you want, you crazy witch?" She smiled grimly. "Only that you face the consequence of your decision to kill those cops." I noticed that my pistol dangled from the index finger of her right hand. "You seem to have dropped this. I'll give you one chance to take it from me. I'll only fight with my left hand. What do you say, Ace?" I didn't like the odds after what she had done to the three of us. "Naw. I'll just stay down. What next?" It was then I heard the sound of approaching police sirens. Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.2.686 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine. Some postwork done directly in Superfly and a bit more done in Photoshop. The consequence is based on V4 with modifications by Shaft73 at Renderosity and my own self. The setting is one of the Kill Zones by TheAntFarm and is available at DAZ. I see the Consequence as a vigilante working in the darker parts of Midland City where the vigilantes MidKnight and NightFall are active. To get a better feeling for Midland City and it's vigilantes see here for an an unfinished story of NightFall: Nightfall - cover #TheConsequence

Thank you, Steve. I think the lighting, her pose and expression are what really sells it. =)

Thank you so much. She's a most dominating character and I really enjoyed trying to depict her as an individual not to be trifled with. I'm really glad I've figured out how to make these old second skin costumes work with Superfly. =)

Thank you, Annie. I already had dozens of characters so I figured what I needed was... another new character!! XD I really like how she came out and I figure she is going to show up again from time to time. =)

Thank you! I especially appreciate this supportive comment because I took an ungodly long time tweaking the lighting. I used to be able to get dramatic effects pretty easily in Firefly but Superfly is an entirely different story. In FF, lighting is so amenable to various tweaks not available in the real world. SF on the other hand, you have to accept that the behavior of light and material is much closer to what would be in real life. I never would have thought that would be so challenging as it is. =\
