Description
Avarris hit the ground flat of her back with enough force to knock the wind from her. This time, she had lost control of the weapon, which hit the ground close by, She lay motionless gasping for air. She could hear scuffing in the sand. Fear caused her to look from the corner of her eyes. The Canine was smaller than she had realized, and was now running desperately as fast as his short legs could carry him.
