Avarris had managed to sit back up. She stared with sorrow at the pair that now interacted together before her. The big female raised her trembling head and shot a questioning stare at her, then glanced back down to the pup, which was currently impatiently nudging his head against the side of the males face in confusion. The male had not responded as he normally did. Avarris felt the tears in her own eyes, and she slowly nodded her head. "I promise." She uttered softly. As though understanding somehow, the female slowly turned. Her body quivering violently as her head slowly settled to the ground, her head pressed close to that of the male. A soft rattling breath gasp escaped her one last time. She became still and silent.
