"Greetings honored one. This is not a pleasure visit, I fear. I have come to bring warning that the warlord Guthfrid is headed this way, with 3,000 warriors. I know not his intentions, but they'll be here within a fortnight."

"Nor do I take any. And you are right. I came because the elders in my village fear your people. I do not."
"I know of no quarrel between us and you."
"There is none. Unfortunately, my people can be foolish at times. Nevertheless, we still seek an alliance with you against Guthfrid. That much wisdom, at least, we retain.
"An alliance seems good to me as well. I will speak to the others. When we have discussed the matter and reached agreement, I will send you the news.
"Thank you honored one. May all your journeys prosper!"
"And yours as well child. You will have our reply within three days.
