Description
Timeless in its beauty and elegant style, the Chiapaneca dress has evolved from a daily use garment to the vibrant and colorful modern version presented here.
The garment truly represents Chiapas — the southernmost Mexican state that is the ancestral home to Mexico’s largest Mayan population. You can read the history of this land in the weaving and natural dyeing (with plant extracts) of the fabrics done by the Chiapas Mayan women. Legend has it that the Goddess of the Moon came down to teach the sacred designs to the women herself.

Thank you Mediacandy! She was so serious in the previous renders, I wanted to add some joy and movement to the series. Plus, that dress is made for dancing!
