Description

Starbelle entered the Navigation Station and found the towering figure of one of Ship's surrogates studying the display. "Ship?" she ventured. "Are you ready to go with me to the bridge to confront the intruder?" "Of course, Starbelle," the giant answered in the contralto voice that Starbelle recognized as that of Ship. "Before we go, I think you should be acquainted with another concern regarding the Intruder..." Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered using Superfly Cycles X in Poser 13.3.686. Some postwork was accomplished in Superfly and a tad more in Photoshop. The character of young Starbelle is based on La Femme. Ship's surrogate is based upon V4. The setting is by Vanishing Point. As usual, I found scripts by Ken1171_Design indispensible. Nudity checked because of the very brief covering worn by the Cybernetic Surrogate of Ship which closely resembles a human female form. 😉 #SolitaryAwakening

Thank you, Uncollared. It's a pretty simple set up compared so some I've done and to the lovely images you do but I thought it was effective and am so grateful for the encouragement! <3

Wow you'll want to stay on it's good side less you get squeezed like a tube of tooth paste. Great graphics to go along with the story and dialogue. This is getting interesting.

Thanks P4me. I very much appreciate the encouragement. I decided to make the surrogate a bit larger than a normal human and Starbelle younger and smaller than most humans. I liked the idea of the contrast between them; an unlikely pair, if you will. XD

Really excellent work on this scene in the story, Molly! There's always another concern...

Thanks, Rod. Yes, there's always something complicating the story for my heroic girls! ;-)

This kind of raises and interesting question. Can an artificial being actually be nude? If the official description of nude is a naked or unclothed person, and the official description of a person is written as a human being weather and adult or child ... artificial and clearly mechanical beings do not actually conform to that criteria. The English language may be due for an update. Nude or not she's more than a little frightening. My first thought would be that as the ships Cybernetic Surrogate is she/it how the ship envisions it's self or is she just the fever dream of some engineer, that spent to much time in his mother basement, watching more than his portion of Lada GaGa videos.

Regarding whether or not there is nudity involved, I tended to be thinking about a previous warning I got not so long ago. I had posted a comic book page which included a group of automatons hit by an energy blast resulting in some pyrotechnics; they were clearly non-human (based on Cybertenko's Retrobot). The moderator added a "violence" warning and chastised/warned me for not initiating the flag myself. I had not thought a clearly non-human device could warrant such a flag... =( Ship's surrogate looks a LOT more humanoid than the retrobots, so.... ;-)

As for the choice of appearance, Ship chose the shape and design of the surrogate herself (Ship identifies as female as has been the practice of Mariners using a pronoun for their craft since time immemorial). The design is as humanoid as possible while encompassing greater strength as the surrogate often has to be used to make physical repairs to whole of Ship. The choice of humanoid was in deference to human's comfort with the familiar. If it had been a feverish, testosterone soaked engineer, Ship would have been shorter and much more decidedly voluptuous. XD

Thanks for your comment, it was delightful and thought-provoking! =)
