I finally got my Mother’s Day picture done! This one is very special to me, as I got the idea from the routine I used to have with my daughter when she was a little thing. Right before bedtime, she and I would climb into bed and she would pick out a book. I would read to her (usually adding my own little embellishments), trying to read as slowly, calmly and gently as possible XD Usually the sound of my voice reading steadily and without any “excitement” would be enough to lull her to sleep. Sometimes we skipped the book altogether, and I just made up stories for her. It’s a really precious, lovely memory for us ^_^ (She’s a “big girl” now, but we still often read together, and especially if she’s not feeling well, she will still ask for made-up stories.
