Description
This has not went as well as I hoped. but I had to still show it. My Father was not there, he was fighting in the sand he was one of the Rats in the 8th army
He joined up when he was but 16 years old and after a few weeks in England got posted to the war front. he was in the AA guns . on the way there they used two ships the men and the shells in one ship and their aa guns in the 2nd. The guns lie at the bottom of the sea due to a sub taking a pot shot. So it was a few weeks before they could set up. He told me that when he was on duty he was given five rounds for the .303 to fight off the tanks with. I think that the tanks would have won.
Two of my Uncles where there, as they say up to their necks in mud pined down under the sea wall 80 years ago they never talked about it but when u watch that great movie "The Longest Day" you just know it was not something you would want to go thru more than once As they say "All give something, Some give ALL" Many a young man never made it back home,
I have only use free photos in this project and only ones that do not show any of the Violence of that day

It was such a lost of life Many thanks for the comment I am so sorry that my tribute did not turn out right but the add on for Blender is a page flip It is meat to flip the pages much as those old cartoon type flip books back in the 50s but if I am still about in another 20 years I will try to make a better one fot the 100 year mark

Many thanks. It is a great shame that even after the great lost of life that WW1 the so called The great war to end all wars and the Lost of life in the WW11 followed so quick with the FLU of 1918 that we still have wars just look at how many wars are going on today in this world of ours and yet we wane to go to the stars. would we change our outlook? could we offer the hand of a Alien our hand of friend ship or just try to take over where ever they call home only time will tell
