Il ne s'agit pas pour moi de célébrer l'anniversaire du débarquement du 6 juin 1944 (en remerciant toutefois nos amis anglo-américains) mais de dire mon désespoir et ma rage devant la folie humaine.
Pour accompagner ces images, dans la foulée de ce que nous faisons avec notre ami Joe Jarrah, la 5ème ou la 9ème symphonie de Beethoven me semble un peu trop "cliché", alors je vais choisir le concerto pour violoncelle de Weinberg, ce musicien juif Polonais, victime de la sauvagerie d'Hitler et de Pou...euh...je veux dire Staline.

I don't intend here to celebrate the anniversary of the June 6, 1944 landing (thanking however our Anglo-American friends) but to express my despair and rage in front of the human madness.
As background music, the 5th or 9th symphony of Beethoven seems a little too "cliché", so I will choose Weinberg's cello concerto. Weinberg a Polish Jewish musician, victim of the savagery of Hitler and Pou...uh...I mean Stalin.

Vivre dans ma bulle, isolé du monde, me permet de ne pas trop déprimer. Quel avenir pour l'Humanité? Ca me semble très, très mal "barré"! Je n'ai pas connu la guerre, mais j'ai connu 50° à l'ombre et c'est TERRIBLE! Quand c'est exceptionnel, ça passe, mais quand ce sera la règle...Quant à Stapoutine, et tous les mégalos, qu'ils soient dirigeants d'Etats "démocratiquement" élus, mollahs, ayatollahs, prêcheurs divers de religions mortifères ou politiciens nationalistes et populistes qui bâtissent leur pouvoir en attisant la haine envers une partie de l'Humanité, ils se repaissent de la mort de ceux qui les suivent aveuglément. Vu le nombre de "tarés" qui sont chefs d'états de par le monde et la croissance des dépenses d'armement, on peut craindre pour notre futur. Les chasseurs sont armés, les "cailleras" de banlieue sont armés, les policiers sont armés, les militaires sont armés et 45% des Américains sont armés ( 2022 ). A quand le grand massacre final?

Both poetic and witty; not an easy balance to strike. Really marvellous images and I wholeheartily support thre sentiment. Thank you also for introducing me to music I have not been aware of, and a perfect counterpoint to the pictures with its pathos and turbulence..

Mazette! Tu ne rigoles pas aujourd'hui. Tu nous donnes à réfléchir avec tes deux images mais n'est-ce pas aussi le rôle de l'art? Et je trouve encore une fois que tu excelles à faire passer un message. Faites l'amour, pas la guerre ! C'est peut être cliché mais c'est tellement vrai quand on voit ces millions de morts à cause de guerres! Je remarque aussi ton nouvel avatar qui est très réussi! Bravo!
