Shaw Kevin of Rottingdahmn would die on the battle field in an ill-advised (Yes, also foreseen, and communicated) war on the Suburban Skiffians. The only way to avert this fate was to marry High Princess Brunhilde the Exceedingly Ugly. Brunhilde's spinster-hood was assured, as was Cass's unfortunate fate.
