Description
Sonja Steelsinger and the maid serving dolls enter Mikel Von Reanimeister's stronghold aiming to rescue Lilja Darkstar.
Molly's art notes: Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.3.686 using the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine with some post-work in Superfly and a tad more in Photoshop. The 6 separate images were then mounted in a graphic novel page format using Comic Life 3.5.21. Sonja Steelsinger is based upon La Femme with modifications by Afrodite-Ohki. The maid servants dolls are by Studio Maya. The setting is -Applejack-'s Level 1. Support content creators!!
I did include full size versions of the original panels. Finally, I worry that it's harder for those who don't speak fluent English to manage this format since cutting and pasting into a translator is not available with the images on a graphic page. Therefore, I reprinted the dialog below; if you use Google Chrome it can translate (right click and choose translate) or you can easily cut and paste into translating software. Another issue occurred to me: the effort to reproduce the accent of the unrefined characters like Sonja, Pannikin and Fat Bob might not translate so I included a standard English version of their dialog in square brackets beneath the reproduction of the speech balloons from the story page.
------------------------ Dialog for use in Translating software follows this break--------------------------------------
PANEL 1
Narration: The clanks Sonja fired upon are immobilized and she and the Maid Dolls pass by them unchallenged.
Sonja: Th' aether flux perjecter works just as I 'oped. 'tis in tune with th' clankseed harmony an' overwrites th' clankseed so thet th' clank 'as no instructions an' becomes an empty machine.
'ead fer th' stairs goin' down, me lovelies. Watch fer any prison or such like. We needs ter find 'er ladyship and make 'aste ter where Fat Bob awaits with 'is submersible!
[Plain English: The aether flux projector works just as I hoped. It is in tune with the clankseed harmony and overwrites the clankseed so that the clank has no instructions and becomes an empty machine.
Head for the stairs going down, my lovelies. Watch for any prison or such like. We need to find her ladyship and make hast to where Fat Bob awaits with his submersible!]
PANEL 2
Sonja: Oy! 'old up! Get be'ind me so as to permit me ter fire me weapon again without 'urtin' you!
[Plain English: Oy! Hold up! Get behind me so as to permit me to fire my weapon again without hurting you!]
PANEL 3
Sonja: Now I lets 'em get a wee bit closer...
[Plain English: Now I let them get a wee bit closer...]
PANEL 4
Sonja: Ready... Steady...
PANEL 5
Unidentified voice: Wait! Hold your fire, Sonja!
Sonja: What?!?

well developed panels.

Thank you! I really like it when I can get a good story flow between images and have the story "beat" end in the last panel on the page. =)

Great fun and excellent layout, and speech flows really well; not always easy to achieve!
MollyFootman
Thank you, Joe. You know, when I do a page like this I often wind up rewriting the dialog from what I originally envisioned a couple of times. This one flowed pretty well on the second rewrite. XD

Ah, the "clanks" are not what they seem? We shall see...
Great layout, Molly, and I love her 'accent' - really great job on this!
MollyFootman
Thanks, Rod. I move so slowly that it might be difficult to recall that Lilja Darkstar, the object of this rescue attempt, had learned she could rewrite clankseeds and was trying to reprogram her guards... =)

You're most welcome, Molly! Oh, I know all about that "move so slowly" part.... LOL

Moving along nicely and I like ending the set on a hanger. Posing and POV works great.

Thanks, JD. I try really hard to get a "flow" from panel to panel with changing PoV as well as changing poses and expressions. I love to have each page consist of a story "beat" like a heart beat, if you will, that ends with a bit of suspense. Now, if only I could pick up the pace of creation... =)
