A very rare Shot: Most likey American Bittern (Botaurus lentiginosus) is rarely seen during Daylight. They can be very annoying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze1uzC7h8UE

It's hard to tell in this shot but these birds are actually really small so I don't think it is the American Bittern. They are actually also very common where I am so I think they might be some sort of brown finch or something but I'm not good with IDing birds!

Indeed its doubtful, but least Bittern is without Streaks and the small Bittern is uniform. On the other Hand this one has not the typical Streaks of AB. Maybe You discovered a new Species!!! ;) I am no Expert for Birds, but found this here: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/American_Bittern/id

Thanks for the guide! Maybe I'll figure out the name one day, in the meantime I'll use the amateur name of 'little brown job' :D
