Description
We've had Piper some 5 years or so - he was a 'rescue' cat whose owner had died and her niece had asked my niece if she could find him a home.
Knowimg we were 'catless' - or just 'in between cats' - my niece offered him to us.
It didn't take him long to realse he was on to a good thing, but he was not too keen on being picked up - and he wouldn't tolerate his tummy being tickled.
And he wasn't a 'lap cat'.
This picture - taken yesterday - shows a sudden change. For the first time in all these years he decided to park himself by my side and sleep.
A huge step forward, I think. Let's hope it's not a one off.

yes hopefully this is a continuing trend as he gets closer to you. I guess some kitties take a bit longer to adjust...also we may never really know anything more about his past life..who knows. My brother had one that took years to adjust and it's not even a rescue. A kitten who apparently had some traumatic experience at the breeder's..
