Description

Poem 1: Doctors, oh doctors, I think it's time we had a talk, Before I end up as Count Dracula's stock. First, it was just a test or two, But now, it feels like blood draws are all that you do. Last time you ordered 34 vials, yes, you read that right, I'm surprised I'm still standing; it was quite a sight! My veins have been poked so many times, I'm starting to wonder, if you're vampires in disguise! Every time you order draws, I feel weaker, I'm pretty sure my blood's your favorite liquor. I *think* you're just doing your job, I get it, But at this rate, soon I'll have to admit it, I'm running really low on the red stuff, And all these tests are getting way too rough! So please, let's keep it to a minimum, Before I turn into a real bloodless victim. It's like you're trying to tap into my essence, Draining me dry like some kind of blood vendetta presence. But in all seriousness, let's make a deal, Less tests, less blood, it's a fair appeal. Rationally I know you're trying to take care of my health, Just please, stop treating me like a blood bank shelf! So, here's to all the blood ‘donors’ out there, Who have to endure more than their fair share, Of needles and pokes, and endless blood draws Stay strong, my friends, you deserve a round of applause! Poem 2: I often visit the doctor, it's become a routine, But every time I go, I just want to scream! For they always order blood tests galore And I can't help but wonder what they need it all for? Is it possible that the doctors are vampires, Sucking my blood to feed their desires? Ordering test after test, just to get their fill, I'm starting to think that my idea might be real! They say it's for my health, that they need to draw my blood, But I can't help but feel like they're up to no good. They order so many blood draws, for 'testing' it seems, But I can't help but wonder if they're fulfilling some vampire dreams, At first it was just one vial, then two, then twenty-three, But now it seems a full transfusion is what they want from me. Do they have fangs hidden beneath their masks? Are they vampires, or just nurses completing their tasks? Do they need all my blood for some sort of ritual? Or are they secretly building up their arsenal? It feels like I can't escape their never-ending thirst, For my precious blood, they seem so immersed. But I won't give up without a fight, I'll cover my neck and hold on tight. I'll keep my garlic and wooden stakes close, And protect myself from these vampire foes! But maybe if I can endure just one more draw, They'll finally be able to say, "Aha! I've got the answer, I know what's wrong!" And then, to the labs I can say "so long!" I've been to the doctor more times than I like, It seems every week they have a new test to try. They draw and they poke, and fill up vial after vial, And I can't help but feel a little bit fragile. Especially when they come back and order even more, I'm starting to wonder what they need it for? I definitely feel like a scientific experiment, Like I'm a lab rat in this endless predicament. I know it sounds like a horror movie plot, But the more blood they took, the more I thought, That maybe they're not as human as they seem, And that all of these tests are an elaborate scheme. But I'll just grin and bear it and take the sting, Hoping that one day, I'll be healthy again. And maybe one day, I'll look back and laugh, At how I thought my doctors were a bloodthirsty staff! But until then, I'll keep going for check-ups, And hope that one day, they'll let up. For even if they are vampires, and I'm just their prey, At least they're trying to keep me healthy, in their own way!

When I saw the needle, a shiver ran down my spine. "Is my doctor a vampire!?" I wondered, half-jokingly. The room's eerie ambiance didn't help. Despite my fears, the Botox Treatment was quick and surprisingly painless. As I left, I couldn't help but laugh at my wild imagination. Perhaps the doctor just had a knack for dramatic lighting.
