Description

I know this is really simple (not even any geometry) but I saw this meteor in the sky this morning and was inspired to recreate it and share.

Simple, yet effective. I would have crapped my pants if I saw something like this. :-)

Fantastic! Simply or not, it is excellent work! Not often we can see so cool solution like this one! Is it series of explosions? Ehh, I would like to know more about this trail anatomy...

Smoke trail was afterburn used on a particle stream. I want to animate several of these for a mini Armageddon-esque sequence but I imagine the rendertime would tax my patience.

this looks like something i saw once, it wasn't even dark outside yet, but the smoke trail and colors look like it. only it wasn't quite so bright at the head. and the brightness extended up the smoke trail a bit more. but very accurate rendering i would say
