Description
Navarre watched intently as the video logs played back on the main view screen.
"We may be in over our heads." He sighed softly, unsure of their decision to assist the Lancers, but he also knew that was too late. They were in for the haul now.
"These are the last two."
"Destroyers." Navarre scowled deeply. "I have studied every known Starfleet vessels available on record. The over-all design is Stafleet, but a little off in construction at the same time. This is something new altogether. Did the outer probe detect anything else at all?"
"A very distant energy shift. We remain on passive scan so as not be detected. But the ship was really faint and we could not get a lock onto it."
La'Ahna glanced around with a serious expression of concern.
"Such as a cloaked vessel. Maybe appearing Romulan in origin?"
"Then we may be in the center seat for a war here if that's the case." Navarre slowly shook his head. "Current Probe sensor readings?"
"All sweeps negative for the last three hours and currently in the clear." Dallu reported from the sensor alcove to the right. "But there is also a strange interference with our main deflector array. I keep getting a distortion feedback from the structural system."
"Great." Navarre shook his head. He spun and walked back to his chair and punched the call button. "Blue!" His voice elevated slightly. "Also, Get me Lancer Command so we can reconfigure our departure route a bit."

Hmmm....worrying about the strange interference - 99% of the time that means something really bad
coyoteviper
