For the first time, I tried participating in the Summerlicious. It is a chance to try out a three course lunch or dinner out of more than 200 restaurants in Toronto. It runs every year and there is also a Winterlicious which I have yet to try. There is a search engine for the event where you can filter by price, by location, by type of food, etc. For this 2024 Summerlicious, I went to the iSLAS Filipino BBQ and Bar with a couple of friends. NO REGRETS - food was absolutely delicious. What was really fun was we all ordered something different and then shared so we pretty much tried everything on the lunch Summerlicious menu. This dish featured here is the Vegan Sisig, one of the appetizer options. It's a platter with vegetables such as eggplant, beans, mushrooms, tofu, peppers, onions and chillies. Came out pipping hot on a cast iron platter.
