a very royal-like portrait, the woman is almost star-struck by us, as we gaze in on her world...the head-dress is perfect for the age, and the background is a big dark beautiful castle...and I really like that she stands in front of some circular pedestal, where the circle swings away from her (rather towards us, which would envelop her instead). Nice contrast between her and the background too. Sweetly done.
