Mon interprétation : en mangeant son sandwich, la demoiselle a fait tomber un bout de pain avec de la mayonnaise. Elle se débarrasse de ce qui est tombé sur sa chaussure ( de la mayonnaise? ) et un oiseau ( une mésange? ) vient picorer le bout de pain.

J'avais commencé avec l'idée qu'elle enlevait un caillou de sa sandale, puis avec l'apport de la mésange, ce sont, en effet les miettes du sandwich qui se sont imposées. :)
