I thought AI images were strictly banned from the gallery.

Not to my knowledge. I'm mostly a poser user, but am trying out some AI to see what it's all about. If it's been banned I apologize but I'm not aware of it. I'll check it out.

Following hborre;s comment I looked it up here: https://www.renderosity.com/article/27412/renderosity-updated-policy-for-ai-images-in-galleries

So far as I can find this is the latest word on the subject. I fully concur with the intent; I have myself frequently complained about rapid-fire, AI images being used to flood the galleries.

As you will note if you look at my postings, that is not my intent and I would never post more than one image per day OF ANY SORT, and rarely that many. Still, I am interested in learning new techniques and ultimately intend to combine AI and Poser strengths as appropriate. First I have to learn AI however :)

I have no desire just to go to an online AI-mill and push buttons; I take technique seriously. I started by installing my own local copy of Stable Diffusion and trying to learn all the technical ins and outs.

So far as I understand the current rules, it's permitted to post AI work so long as the technical methods of creating the image are acknowledged. I certainly want to do this because my goal in posting is to receive critiques and suggestions from those more knowledgeable. If I am misunderstanding this, please let me know.

I hope no one takes this amiss..

Thank you all.

AI images are here and there's no turning back; but if we do, why not ban all computer-assisted art? But why stop there when we could ban factory-processed assembly-line food? Or doing laundry with machines? Or traveling with machines instead of horses? etc...

Glad you're having fun with new art tools, and looks like you're on a good start!

Thanks, Max. I'm looking forward to integrating Poser and Stable Diffusion, beginning with Ken1171's OpenPose app. I have the feeling the result will be very powerful.

Looks like you are way ahead of me in this new art. Last time I looked into how to load one of these AI apps locally, it seemed so complex and convoluted I just gave up!
If I was still a teenager I'd have tons of patience, but not anymore:(

Well, yeah, it took me about a week to get it all set up and learn how to use it, but that was starting from absolute scratch, never having even used it online before. There are some very helpful tutorials on setting it up out there. I really think it's worth it if you're going to do AI because you have complete control right there on your own machine. Teenager? Hell, I'm 83 and it's well known that seniors can't even recognize a computer when they see one :)
