Description
I was going to post this a while ago but I didn't think the render was dynamic or dramatic enough to post.
And another reason is that writing the descriptions can really suck. In most cases I end up spending four more time writing than actually rendering. So, here we go quick and simple.
I turned the joint limits on to roughly set the pose for the actor. I then turned the limits off to finish the pose.
Next I modified the joint parameters and the bend morphs to get realistic bends. I ended up re-modeling the actor's left armpit to correct the general funkiness that resulted from having her arm lifted up.
I used some photography tricks in using a spotlight to illuminate the backdrop directly behind the actor to help draw focus to her.
I've supplied my light setup and render settings in case anyone is interested. I list two fill lights in the supplied image but the first fill light is for her on the balance beam and the second is the one I used for standing behind the balance beam. The shader for the actor is the one used by La Femme Pro with the characters textures being used instead.
Ok, Hope you enjoy the work.
