The totality is wonderfully evocative. It would make a nice postprocessing project to add a long house up on the greensward and a Drakkar being made seaworthy for going out to raid the Saxon coast.

A lot of power and dynamics in this picture. I think you succeded very well with the combination of dramatic light, high contrast shadowing and that water. Wonderful terrain and texture to complement it. Excellent picture! .... and now I suddenly see an animation (in the thumb). Looks very cool!!

Masterful control of texturing. I don't quite understand how you distributed your colors to have them so well distributed in various areas of the picture. You must have a trick up your sleeve ;-). Give us more!
