Description

Veggie dogs anyone? =) If you want to be successful at OHYO claw machines, ironically you don't just jump in and play on the machines. The first suggestion I'd give you if you want to leave happy, is start by browsing the available prizes. At OHYO in both of their locations, there are prizes you can win at the machines/other games and prizes you can trade in for. Most of the regular sized plush that you can win at the machine are worth 2 tickets. In the prize section, you can see on the item's tag how many tickets it costs to get. These pictured veggie dogs (in a blind box), cost 7 tickets each. Some prizes are only available to be won at the machines, some only by trade in and some in both. If the ones you want are only able to be won at the machine, then you'll have do the best you can with the other tips I'll share in later posts. If the ones you want are only by trade in, I'd recommend sticking to the machines that are easiest to get the prizes as you'll be trading them in anyways. And if they are available at both, I'd play for them at the machines if it seems like they'd be fairly easy to get (more on that in a later post). If they look difficult to obtain, then I'd play the machines that are easy and trade them in for tickets. From what I could see, those that were available in both, cost 4 tickets if you traded in for them. And if you don't see anything you like, keep in mind that the prizes vary a bit between location so you might find something you prefer at the other location (there is a lot of overlap though so don't bank on that). Additionally, prizes change over time, so you might prefer something at a later date. If you really want to play right then and there but don't see a prize you like, play the machines that are the easiest and then trade them in for tickets. Then have them load the tickets to your member card (more on that in a later post). Also, if you want a prize that would cost more tickets then you can earn in one sitting, then I would also recommend you trade in what you do win and have the tickets loaded onto your card. In that way, you can slowly earn tickets over time and then trade them in once you have enough. There is also that little alien from Toy Story pictured there though I didn't see how many tickets they cost. I'd imagine they'd be in the similar ballpark as the veggie dogs though.
