Okay, after browsing around and deciding what prizes you want to try to win, we can just jump into the advice on how the play the machines right?
Well....not quite yet. Before you get to playing at the claw machines, there is some tips to share about the cost. There is the ticket cost of how much a prize is worth if you win it at the machine if you want to trade for a different prize. There is a token cost for how many tokens it costs to play the machine. But ultimately it is how much actual money you spend on the tokens that determine how expensive your fun day out is going to be.
So how much do tokens cost? The short answer is: it depends.
At OHYO, in general, the more you spend, the cheaper the tokens get. Additionally, if you spend $100 or more, then you automatically get their membership. Their year membership allows you to buy tokens at a lower cost than non-members, it gives you a member card, which allows you to store tickets on it to accumulate and spend later, and it gives perks such as free tokens per month. But even if you plan on going there just once, it is worth getting the membership just because the tokens are that much cheaper. On the other hand, $100 is a lot to spend at once. So how do you spend $100 without spending $100?
Enter....THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!!!!
If you pool your money with friends, you can hit the $100 target without individually spending $100 thus making it much easier on your wallet and yet you're still able to get the cheaper token pricing. The membership can only be held under one person's name still but you can load all your earned tickets on the one card and spend it later. Besides, playing at the claw machine arcade while fun individually was a lot more fun with friends so bring your friends so you can have more fun and spend less =D
Even if you still don't hit the $100 mark, I would still recommend spending together as a group as there are several tiers of pricing before membership that is still a lot cheaper than if you just pay a low amount out of your own pocket. The lowest tier is VERY expensive so pooling money is always a good idea here. The more you collectively spend, the less you spend individually :)
