Description


Another contest piece. This was for the 3dLuvr's contest "In the Lab" last year. That was a lot of fun and very challenging. I look at this now and can't believe I got that detailed.

Very nice- I think the bits of old cathedral under all the machinery are a nice touch. Is that giant spark just a shaded plane, or what? I want it, whatever it is.

Pistola - yes, the spark is two planes intersecting like an X, each with a lightning-bolt-esque texture map in the color and glow channels, and a matching map as transparancy, and then a big bulb light in the center.

As I look at it through missing and exploited (M.I.E.) eyes I can understand how your escapes searched for anything valuable to seize on while maintaining enough energy to complete the work in total darkness. That the ventilation looks familiar is at least a space to rest.
