I was trying to find out what Toronto means and its puzzling: The City was called "York" first and the took the original Name "Tkaronto" from the Mowhawks: "Where there are Trees standing in the Water". Very Strange!!! ... :)

That's one possible meaning, but as FirstBastion said, Toronto is generally referred to as meaning 'place of meeting' or meeting place' :)
