Description
I've just discovered the Blosm plugin for Blender, and it can capture some highly detailed maps, once the initial setup process is dealt with. Here's one of Wellington Airport (WLG/NZWN).

Well, that seems to be an interesting addon.

The only thing to watch for is the loading times, if the map is at maximum quality. For background scenery, just the lowest poly models will do.
